Lightning address payments that confirm themselves
Put your Lightning address on a pay link next to on-chain options. send21 fetches an invoice for the exact amount from your own wallet provider, and confirms the payment when your provider supports LUD-21.
Why it matters
Lightning is where everyday bitcoin payments happen: fast and cheap. Until now, a payment link either needed a custodial processor or could not tell you when the invoice was paid. With a Lightning address, the invoice belongs to your wallet and send21 only reads its status.
Set it up
- Find your Lightning address in your wallet app. Many wallets give one, in the form name@provider.
- Create a pay link and tick Also accept BTC over Lightning, then enter the address.
- send21 checks that the address answers before the link goes live.
- When a payer picks Lightning, send21 fetches a fresh invoice for the locked amount.
Good to know
- Automatic confirmation needs LUD-21 support from your provider; the draft shows whether it is available.
- Invoices expire, and the rate lock ends with the invoice.
